William Hobé had immigrated to the US from France, where his family had made fine jewellery for generations. Hobé jewellery was used in showgirl costumes in the Ziegfeld Follies. Hobé jewellery was also used in many Hollywood movies. Hobé produces very high quality and very high priced jewellery for upscale stores. The materials used for the costume jewellery are often semi-precious stones and their jewellery is highly collectable.
